Balderas Participates in Special Olympics Games Torch Run

Earlier this month members of the Albuquerque Police Department and members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) participated in the annual lighting of the torch run before the Special Olympic Games. This year was a very special year for State Auditor Balderas’ family. This year's torch run was dedicated to Hector Balderas’ daughter Arianna. Arianna is 9 years old and was born with Down Syndrome. In the picture above you can see State Auditor Balderas proudly holding up the torch with APD Captain Conrad Candelaria. Before the run began State Auditor Balderas had a chance to say a few words to the men and women of the Albuquerque Police department. Balderas said “I am so grateful to you all; you all part of my family”.
